Sweden’s Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken’s second-quarter profit falls

Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken said on 15 July that second-quarter net profit fell amid higher credit loss provisions and a fine from Sweden’s financial regulator.

The Sweden-based bank posted net profit of 3.5bn Swedish kronor ($384.8m) for the three months ended June 30 compared with 4.89bn kronor a year earlier. The result was just shy of the 3.58bn kronor forecast from analysts polled by FactSet.
