Swift, the financial messaging group, has hired James Donovan from Citigroup to replace Francis Remacle, who is set to retire after almost 20 years.

Remacle joined Swift in 1987 and two years later became general manager of Swift's terminal services business. He was promoted to head of sales in 1992 before taking over as head of the securities industry division in 2000.
