SWX Swiss Exchange, the Zurich-based stock exchange, has created a new executive structure that will allow for a clear line of demarcation between the exchange and SWX Group, the overseeing body for the exchange's businesses.

The executive committee of the SWX Group will devote its efforts to the strategic management of the group's businesses, while bearing overall responsibility over and above the board of directors. The Group executive committee will comprise Jürg Spillman, head of the SWX Group executive committee, Heirich Henckel, chief executive of the SWX Swiss Exchange, and Peter Keller, chief executive of Virt-X, the London-based joint venture between SWX Group and Tradepoint.
