Synesis gains new backers

Synesis Life, the UK insurer set up by three former Prudential employees, has secured funding from two banks and a private equity firm to insure up to £10bn (€14.6bn) in pension liabilities.

Royal Bank of Scotland and Warburg Pincus are lead co-investors with JP Morgan also committing capital. Synesis has not disclosed the value of the funding.
