Systems failure forces new exchange safeguards

The London Stock Exchange says that it has completed an investigation into the cause of a system failure which forced the exchange to be closed for eight hours on April 5.

It has also taken steps to ensure that better supervisory procedures are in place to minimise the chances of another system breakdown.
