US funds group T Rowe Price has appointed the head of its emerging markets equity investment strategies team for the past decade as chief executive of its non-US investment management business.

Chris Alderson, who has spent more than two decades at T Rowe Price International, has become president and chief executive of the business following the retirement of David Warren, who had been with the company for 28 years.
