Challenger bank Tandem is to get a new chief executive, after current boss Susie Aliker handed in her resignation just 18 months after taking the post.

The 2014-founded company announced that it would replace Aliker, who led the bank through a major acquisition of consumer lender Oplo earlier this year, with deputy chief and Oplo founder Alex Mollart.
