The London Stock Exchange has set itself the aim of transforming TechMark, its sector for high growth and technology stocks, into the leading market for European IPOs as it launches its long-awaited push into Europe. Starting this month, the LSE will launch a series of roadshows across continental Europe targeting investors, analysts and potential issuers. In the summer, the roadshow will head on to Israel, India and Japan.

Tim Ward, head of issuer services at the LSE, said: 'This is more than just a marketing campaign. We are targeting securities firms to become remote members of the LSE, and issuers to come and list on the LSE, as well as raising the profile of our markets with investors across the continent. We want to establish the LSE as the European IPO market.'
