Telecom Italia used Lazard as exclusive financial adviser on the recent sale of its 26.89% stake in Auna, the Spanish telecommunications group, leaving its usual adviser Lehman Brothers without a role.

Lehman Brothers has been very close to Telecom Italia for some time, but since the takeover of Telecom Italia's parent company, Olivetti, other financial advisers have had more of a look-in.
