Telecom Italia's phone bill securitisation on hold until second quarter

Telecom Italia will not launch its long-planned €1bn ($0.9bn) securitisation of telephone bill charges until the second quarter of this year, according to market players.

Securitisation specialists in London said the Italian telecomms company was still deciding on the final structure of its debut sale of asset-backed securities (ABS). Other transactions in the telecoms sector will delay the deal until at least April.
