Telenor, the Norwegian national telecoms carrier, is planning to launch its IPO next month and aims to start trading in early December, according to sources close to the company.

The decision to press ahead with the IPO before the year end comes after a window of opportunity in the telecoms markets has opened up with more than €45bn ($38bn) of new issues shunted into next year.
