Firms that appear two years running on a public register of shareholder rebellions are likely to climb shareholders' priority lists

Ten UK companies have been shamed as "repeat offenders" on a new list of shareholder rebellions, as the annual season of company general meetings gets underway.

The Investment Association, the UK's trade body for fund managers, tracks all company general meetings where more than 20% of shareholders vote 'no' on any one resolution. This level is considered a significant warning signal to bosses.
