Jim Tennant, former senior UK equity fund manager at Schroder Investment Management, has re-emerged at Gartmore Investment Management as a senior account director to its UK institutional team.

Tennant, whose role was made redundant at Schroders, was part of an exodus of nearly 70 staff from the firm earlier this year. Schroder had written to consultants to tell them of three client-facing staff whose jobs it no longer considered necessary and Tennant was the highest profile name on the list. At the time, the firm said that all three were being considered for other roles within the company.
