Transport for London has started work to transform one of the busiest routes through the City of London to make it safer for pedestrians, cyclists and bus users when they return to the office.
The changes are part of the Mayor of London’s Streetspace plan and will be introduced along the roads connecting Shoreditch and London Bridge, TfL announced on 20 July. They will include tariff restriction, the widening of pavements, reallocation of space to walkers, cyclists and buses, turning restrictions and stretches of road with no access to vehicles apart from buses.
