Kate Middleton-backed charity adds to City ranks

A former Barclays investment manager and a hedge fund specialist join ex-FSA chief Sir Hector Sants as trustees at The Art Room

An Oxford-based children's charity, whose royal patron is the Duchess of Cambridge and which recruited former Financial Services Authority chief executive Sir Hector Sants as a trustee last year, has added more City blood to its ranks.

Former Barclays investment manager Samantha Bamert and hedge fund specialist Stella Murrell have joined the trustee board of The Art Room, which uses art as therapy to boost the self-esteem of children experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties, according to Companies House filings. The Art Room was set up in 2001 by education therapist Juli Beattie.
