The City’s four big worries as it awaits a Brexit deal

If EU and UK negotiators fail to end their standoff, firms in the City will lose access to European markets overnight

European and UK leaders have failed to end their Brexit standoff, heightening the risk of the UK crashing out of the bloc without a deal next March.

At Wednesday’s summit of EU leaders in Brussels, EU politicians concluded that “not enough progress” has been made to call an extraordinary summit on Brexit in November to sign off on any divorce deal.
