Singing the Marseille ayes

Walter Butler, the reclusive owner of Butler Capital, one of France's largest private equity houses, may want to double security at his Paris offices after rousing the ire of the country's most passionate football fans at Olympique de Marseille.

This month, Butler Capital took a one third stake in Marseille's arch-rival Paris St Germain with Los Angeles buy-out firm Colony Capital and US bank Morgan Stanley.
