The rise and fall of the UK property market ahead

The value of UK commercial property is set to rise substantially next year, according to Schroders – but could be set for a correction in 2011. The asset manager warned that the long-term outlook was positive but volatile, marking the "end of an era".

At a research briefing held yesterday, William Hill, head of property at the company, said: "Momentum is going to drive the market too far, so there will have to be a correction".
