The Swiss have never been the most open people in the world, but one Swiss bank is taking things to extremes. A 'prestigious financial institution' based in Zurich (in other words, Credit Suisse or UBS) recently advertised for one of the strangest jobs in banking: a global historian.

The bank apparently has historical archives spanning more than 100 years and is looking for an economic historian to advise management on 'the historical context for strategic decision making'.
