The Village

Many in financial services dream of taking a sabbatical to travel the world. But fund manager Peter Molloy is really doing it. Molloy has just left Hermes, where he was on the UK smaller companies desk, to spend the next year driving a Land Rover 25,000 miles from London to Sydney, along with his wife, Fiona. They have planned their route to make as few sea crossings as possible, driving through Europe to Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India, Nepal, China, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, Indonesia and finally, Australia.

The Molloys will be raising money for the humanitarian charity, Care International. En route, they will be visiting a number of Care's projects. They are still looking for more sponsors for the trip, which they are funding themselves. Contact them at www.londontosydney.com.
