The UK's prime minister has called on the country's business leaders to keep their eyes on the Brexit “prize” after a fraught week of negotiations in Brussels that yielded no agreement on future trade with Europe.

Theresa May updated around 130 senior executives, from firms including the Royal Bank of Scotland and consulting firm EY, about the government's progress in Brexit negotiations on October 19.
