Third largest US pension fund appoints new chief executive

Calstrs, the California State Teachers Retirement System, has appointed Jack Ehnes to take over as its chief executive when James Mosman leaves the post in February.

Calstrs, the third largest pension fund in the US, is responsible for assets worth $98bn (€111bn) and for paying the pensions of 661,000 people. Ehnes will have an operating budget of $56m and 525 employees.
