Thomson adds fuel to the data war

Thomson Financial, the information and technology company, has added fundamental financial data to its premium trading floor system, ThomsonOne Banker, with which it competes against heavyweight competitors Bloomberg and Reuters.

Its system will now include detailed historical financial statement data, pricing, and textual data to meet the demands of clients who want a greater range of information at less than the $1000 (£822)-per-month charged by Bloomberg and Reuters.
