Goldman Sachs has completed a €218.7m ($214.4m) block trade in Thomson Multimedia in the fourth sale of shares in the French consumer electronics group this year.
The bank sold 8.8 million shares as DirecTV Enterprises, a US satellite television provider owned by the broadcaster Hughes Electronics Corporation, disposed of its remaining 3.14% stake. Shares were placed at €24.85 each, a 3% discount to Tuesday's closing price as the sale was completed by 8.00 GMT. On Wednesday morning Thomson Multimedia shares were trading at €24.69.
