Thomson Reuters, the global news and data provider, has offered further details of the revised rollout plan for its flagship desktop data product, Eikon, following a disappointing first year of sales which claimed the jobs of several senior executives.
On an earnings call to discuss the group's first quarter results, new chief executive Jim Smith said the firm was focused on an eight-quarter rollout plan for the product, which will see it deployed in different financial markets when it is deemed ready. "The truth is, we're getting more and more positive responses almost every week," he said. "The platform aspects have never looked better."
