Threadneedle Investments, the UK fund manager owned by American Express, has named Thomas Berglund head of Nordic distribution. He will be responsible for developing the firm's business in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.

Berglund joins from If Property & Casualty Insurance where he was responsible for selecting external fund managers, Threadneedle said. He has also worked at Andersen Consulting and Ernst & Young.
