Threadneedle has lost its second equities fund manager in a month as a senior UK smaller companies manager moves to Pictet Asset Management.

After eight years at Threadneedle, Bill Barker has left to join Pictet's small cap equities unit where he will be a senior investment manager responsible for the UK. He will report to Aylin Suntay who is head of small cap equities at the firm.
