Billionaire founder of hedge fund Tiger Management Julian Robertson dies age 90

One of the most influential figures in developing a new breed of investors passes away

Julian Robertson, the billionaire founder of Tiger Management and a sponsor to several other hedge funds, has died. He was 90.

He died in Manhattan due to cardiac complications, according to a comment that Robertson’s longtime spokesperson, Fraser Seitel, provided to Bloomberg, which first reported Robertson’s death.
