Tony Shiret, the retail sector analyst described as the 'Godfather of retail' who was made redundant by Credit Suisse in 2011 and later won an age discrimination case against the Swiss bank, is to return the industry with a role at Espirito Santo.
Shiret spent 18 years at Credit Suisse before his dismissal in June 2011, and in July this year won a high-profile unfair dismissal and age discrimination case against the Swiss bank. The Swiss bank is appealing the decision.
