Seemingly baseless rumours being batted around New York, London and other financial centres this week that Bank of America was about to be taken over by JP Morgan had commentators wondering what such a behemoth would look like and how they would describe it.
On Twitter, Nouriel Roubini, professor of economics at New York University's Stern School of Business, pondered if Bank of America was Too-Big-To-Fail in '07, by taking on Countrywide and Merrill Lynch it became EBTF or Even-Bigger-To-Fail.
