Citigroup has shaken up the leadership of its investment banking team focused on financial institutions in Europe to allow a senior dealmaker to focus on its Brexit planning in Frankfurt.
Stefan Wintels, who has run Citi's financial institutions group (FIG) in Europe, the Middle East and Africa since 2010, has relinquished his role and will now dedicate his time to managing the bank's office in the German city, which will serve as its main post-Brexit hub in the EU.
