Morgan Stanley Smith Barney has recruited a new chief executive officer of its Australian wealth management business.

Matthew Comyn will assume the new role at the end of February, based in Sydney. He joins from Commonwealth Securities, an Australian broker, where he was most recently managing director. He reports to Steve Harker, chief executive of Morgan Stanley Australia.
