Buffett makes $1bn profit on GE stake
Berkshire Hathaway sold down its entire stake in US conglomerate General Electric worth an estimated $315m in the three months ended June, according to a regulatory filing. Billionaire Warren Buffett’s investment firm is understood to have earned a profit of at least $1bn - including dividends - on the GE stake, most of which was received four years ago. (WSJ)
