Top UK banks show slow progress on improving gender pay gap

UK investment banks have closed the gender pay gap slightly, but big bonuses means change is slow

The UK’s biggest banks have made some progress closing their gender pay gaps over the past year, but the number of women in the highest paying roles remains small.

Barclays, HSBC and NatWest have all closed their median UK gender pay gaps over the past 12 months, but there remains a big disparity in bonus payments and women in top jobs.
