The interdealer broker TP Icap has made a series of hires in a bid to win more trading business from hedge funds and other investment firms — historically the clients of the City’s big bank dealers.
The company, formed at the end of 2016 by Tullett Prebon's £1.3bn takeover of Icap, has expanded its institutional services division under Sam Ruiz, who joined from Nomura in 2016, with a series of hires.
