TP Icap is bulking up its data and analytics division with the first acquisition since its formation through the merger of Tullett Prebon and Icap’s voice broking business.

The interdealer broker, which connects major financial institutions seeking to cut deals in the wholesale financial, energy and commodities markets, said in a January 30 statement that it has acquired “certain assets” from Burton-Taylor International Consulting, a market research, analytics and business consulting firm.
