TradeWeb, the US online government bond trading portal, has appointed Roger Jones as chief executive of its new European subsidiary.

TradeWeb has been one of the genuine success stories in the race for online liquidity. The portal, which was launched less than two years ago, has captured around 25% of all inter-dearler trading in the US Treasury market.
