Chris Smith, a straight-through processing expert who recently left Reuters, has resurfaced at TradeWeb, the online fixed income trading provider, to head up the launch of two new services in Europe.

At Reuters, the UK information group, he was responsible for developing its STP strategy. Smith left Reuters just a few months after Reuters dissolved its global STP team, headed by Tony Kirby. Smith is well known in the IT sector as founder of a number of industry initiatives and as a conference speaker.
