Find out who is on the move in the City and beyond this week

Trading Places: Harding-Jones heads to Deutsche, Blanc scores New Year honour, Deutsche Börse’s integration head

Alison Harding-Jones, the former head of M&A in Europe at Citigroup, re-emerged at Deutsche Bank to lead its deal team globally. The M&A veteran, who was one of Citi’s most senior dealmakers and one of the few top female bankers in the City, joined the German lender as global head of M&A.

Aviva boss Amanda Blanc was made a Dame in the King's New Year Honours, headlining a roster of business leaders recognised for their service. Blanc, one of the few female FTSE 100 bosses, received the award for her services to business, gender equality and net zero. Stephen Hester, the former boss of RBS who now chairs Nordea Bank, was knighted for services to business and the economy. Other notable City figures to grace the list include Latham & Watkins partner Mark Austin, who led a review into UK listings rules and plays a key role in the City's Capital Markets Industry Taskforce.
