Standard Chartered boosts rates team
Standard Chartered has hired an emerging markets sales veteran from Nomura to its rates team in London. Jonathan Harding will start on Monday as European head of rates sales for emerging markets. Harding was previously head of emerging markets macro sales at Nomura, according to his LinkedIn profile. He joined Nomura from RBS in 2014 as head of emerging market sales .

CVC fundraising veteran to retire
Marc St John, a investor relations partner at private equity firm CVC Capital Partners, plans to retire in March and will hand over relationships with some of the private equity giant's most important investors to other senior members of the team. St John worked at CVC for nearly two decades and has helped to raise over $70bn in equity capital.
