It's been another busy week in the battle for investment banking talent. Deutsche Bank is strengthening its UK team with two new hires. Abid Chaudhri is joining from BNP Paribas and Ed McBride joins from Citigroup. They’re the latest additions to the dealmaking unit led by Daniel Ross, who was poached from Barclays in May.
Mid-market investment bank Alantra brought in five new senior investment bankers for its European operation. It launched a new team covering the real estate and hospitality sectors in Paris, adding three partners — Yonel Marelli, Richard Desgroppes and Jérémie Sénior — as well as two other bankers lower down the ranks. They are joining from French real estate firm Babylone Group.
