Kirkland & Ellis New York debt finance partner Eric Wedel resigned from the firm alongside a three-partner team to join Paul Weiss. London debt finance heavyweight Neel Sachdev also quit the firm alongside three other partners. Wedel is one of the top private equity debt finance lawyers in New York. His client roster includes Warburg Pincus, KKR, Bain Capital, BC Partners, and EQT. Sachdev is one of the biggest names in the London legal market, with sponsor clients including Apollo, Bain Capital, Carlyle, Centerbridge and Warburg Pincus.

UBS named country heads within its operations in Emea, with Credit Suisse executives making up a quarter of the new leaders for the region. Carlos Santos Lima moves across from Credit Suisse to lead UBS's team in Portugal, while other executives from the acquired bank are Glen Tonks in Guernsey, Khaled Salah in Bahrain, Majid Al-Gwaiz in Saudi Arabia and Hazem Shawki in the United Arab Emirates.
