Investment banking hires continue and Spac moves dominate

Top lawyer Charlie Jacobs is joining JPMorgan as co-head of UK investment banking, according to an internal announcement. He joins from Magic Circle law firm Linklaters, where he was a senior partner.

Jacobs said he was leaving Linklaters last month after a stint as the firm’s senior partner, following a successful career as one of the City’s leading M&A lawyers. The internal memo, seen by Financial News, confirmed Jacobs' appointment. He will be joining as co-head of UK investment banking, along with David Lomer.
