CapGen hires from Citi
Investment manager Capital Generation Partners has named Michel de Carvalho as chairman of the group. De Carvalho joins from Citigroup where he was global chairman of the private bank and vice chairman of the of the investment bank in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. De Carvalho is also a board member of the brewing group Heineken, which is controlled by his wife Charlene de Carvalho-Heineken.

SocGen promotes in London
Societe Generale’s corporate and investment banking arm has promoted Julien Lascar to head of global markets sales for Europe excluding France. Lascar, who will be based in London, joined the French bank in 2003 and will work alongside Laurent Besnainou who covers the same role for France.
