Sandaire names new chairman
Multi-family office Sandaire has appointed Warwick Newbury as its new chairman. Newbury is currently the chairman of wealth manager Kleinwort Hambros Bank and will continue in this role until its full legal merger with Kleinwort Benson later this year. At Sandaire, he takes over the chairman role from founder Alex Scott.

Standard Chartered appoints energy trading head
Asia-focused bank Standard Chartered has appointed Matthew Hastings as global head of energy trading, based in London. He was most recently a senior trader at PetroChina based in Houston. Hastings has also worked at Mercuria Energy, Barclays and Merrill Lynch, in roles spanning energy and currency options trading.
