London-based fintech group TransferWise has teamed up with Facebook to allow customers to send money through the social network's Messenger service.

TransferWise, whose investors include Virgin boss Richard Branson and PayPal founders Peter Thiel and Max Levchin, said in a statement that the collaboration means customers can send money without leaving the app.
