The UK’s Covid-19 hotel quarantine system will start on 15 February, the government has said, and travellers will have to pay for the cost.

“We are now working at pace to secure the facilities we need to roll out managed quarantine for British nationals returning home from the most high-risk countries,” a spokesperson for the Department of Health and Social Care said in a 4 February statement.
