NewSmith Capital, the UK investment bank founded by former Merrill Lynch executives, is expanding its corporate advisory arm with the appointment of insurance expert, Trevor May, from Citigroup.

May joins NewSmith Financial Solutions, the corporate advisory wing of NewSmith Capital, having been part of the top ranked European insurance research team at Citigroup. Before that he worked as an equity analyst for UBS Philips & Drew, Nomura and BZW.
