Truell hires Goldman managers

Susan Noble, a former London-based equity chief at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, has joined Edmund Truell's Pension Insurance Corporation.

Noble's former Goldman Sachs colleague Tracy Blackwell has also been hired by Truell, who is understood to have found substantial backing for his operation from insurer Swiss Re. Their appointments come after Goldman Sachs announced plans to create a life assurance operation to buy pension funds in competition with Truell. However, the Goldman business is being promoted by its banking division rather than the asset management arm. A webinar discussion on buyouts with is being hosted by Financial News on Wednesday, October 4 at 3pm. Participants include Mark Wood, chief executive of Paternoster Capital.
