Trump ‘completely wrong’ to incite protestors to storm the Capitol, says UK PM

Boris Johnson's comments follow the storming of Congress by pro-Trump protestors

The US President Donald Trump was “completely wrong” to cast doubt on the election result and incite people to storm the Capitol, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said.

Speaking at a press conference on 7 January, the Prime Minister said: “Insofar as he encouraged people to storm the Capitol and insofar as the President consistently has cast doubt on the outcome of a free and fair election, I believe that was completely wrong”.
